Sydney Harbour Foreshore Heritage Assets
The Government is protecting and enhancing heritage assets along the Sydney Harbour foreshore.
Property NSW will lead the program of works, which includes:
- A $23 million renewal of the heritage listed Pyrmont Bridge, including replacing deteriorated structural fabric and rectification of the deck articulation and waterproofing systems.
- An upgrade of Campbells Cove public domain, including lowering and widening the foreshore promenade to deliver enhanced public access to The Rocks and to cruise ships, estimated at $15 million.
- Completion of the public domain that adjoins the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) development on the eastern side of Darling Harbour, including works to the Liverpool Street entry to Darling Harbour, Darling Quarter pavement and Harbour Street, estimated at $5 million.
- An upgrade to Cockle Bay Wharves (artist's impression pictured above), delivering a single high capacity wharf and world class on-water public domain space on the western side of Cockle Bay, estimated at $15 million.
